Are surfboards as unique as fingerprints?
If a shaper followed the same template, method, colour, shape, size, volume—whether it was machine or hand shaped—uncontrollable variables would affect the board: humidity, temperature, density of foam, and the long list continues. And if in some weird miraculous way the board is identical to another one, the way a leash is attached, wax is applied, fins are used, and tail pad is slapped on changes its feel.
