Christmas is the best time of year, especially as a kid. There's a still that little bit of an air of mystery about Christmas, with the surprise of waking up early on the 25th and not really knowing what you'll find left for you under the tree. But the best thing about Christmas is the summer holidays - long days at the beach, cricket and tennis on the TV, and at least six weeks with nary a teacher or school uniform in sight, and time to do whatever the hell you like.

Most 16 year old kids would be stoked just to get a few waves on the annual family trip to the coast, but if you're the youngest member of Australia's premiere surfing family, you have some different expectations from your summer holidays. Owen and Tyler's little brother Mikey is already living a life filled with more opportunity than most adults will ever get. He is growing up with one of Australia's most iconic surf breaks on his doorstep, he's well past getting the hand-me-down elder siblings' sponsors gear Mikey and rep'ing for the mountain and the wave, and he was part of the Wright-Bennetts family trip to Bali (otherwise known as the ASL Board Bible Test, which you can find in ASL 281 in stores now). But with stylish turns like these, it won't be long before young Mikey is making a name for himself outside the shadow of the elder Wrights.

And to top it off, Santa brought little Mikey some pretty nice waves during his Christmas break. Ahhh, what a life!

You can see more of Mikey in action after his win at the under 16 Autralian Junior Surfing Titles at Coffs Harbour in December last year.
