Monday, 22 April 2013

Jordy Smith has won the Real Surf X Games for surfing.

An event, that was basically a online surfing tournament that put eight surfers' video clips against eachother. The first round began early in April and ran for a week, Jordy defeated Albee Layer and a week later defeated Josh Kerr to put himself in the final against Gabriel Medina.

Jordy thanked his girlfriend for telling him about one of the main featured waves, Mozambique, and said "I had so much fun putting my section together over the summer."

Not only does Jordy take home $50,000 but he's also in the running to win the Fan Favourite that'll add $10,000 to his winnings.
