Matanivusi Eco Beach Resort

Planning the ultimate Surfing Holiday with others has always been riddled with compromise; that dirty word, which basically means doing things you don’t want to. Thankfully, Matanivusi Beach Eco Resort says, “compromise no more, friends”. Catering for everyone’s desires – coupled with a surf-your-brains out focus, of course – they provide all the answers to all your getaway quandaries.

the basics

The “wow” factor is applied everywhere.. location, buildings, service, surf boats. It’s a resort not a surf camp! MBER has eight rooms ( 2 more under construction) so it caters to a maximum of 16 guests. Rooms are stylish and individual, with absolute beach frontage and a focus on keeping the partners happy.

expedition essentials

hardware: Shortboard and a wider fishy board are recommended. A larger, semi-gun could serve you well on the larger, punchy days too.
non-surf: A camera for the memories and a sense of adventure to make the most of your stay.
medical: All staff are trained in first-aid and a medical centre is only three kms away. No inoculations are advised currently; it’s very safe with no malaria and minimal mosquitoes. Heli evacuation is available, but has never been needed.
