The Chillhouse Bali

The dream was to live in Indo, go surfing every day and have a source of income that would support that dream. Doesn’t sound too bad does it, and Alex and Sabina implore you to come share in their dream, staying in one of the most wave rich regions on the planet in complete comfort, being ferried back and forth from perfect surf every day.

the basics

It’s complete with all the mod cons: Air-con, minibar, JBL iPod docks, and free unlimited wifi all over. There’s a TV/DVD corner, chillout bales, heaps of cultural activities and membership at The Canggu Club (yoga, fitness, sauna, child care, large swimming pool, etc). 22 guests at a time are housed in bungalows with ensuite open-air bathrooms, queen, double or single beds & private gardens.

expedition essentials

hardware: One regular shortboard with squash tail for semi beach-breaks or sometimes blown out afternoon surf. Maybe a rounded pin for regular days at Canggu, and a larger one to be ready for the big days at the famous long lefts at the Bukit. They have heaps of boards to rent, everything from 10’0” logs to 5’6” fish.
non-surf: Sunscreen, sports shoes, iPod.
medical: First world standard hospitals as well as dental care are about 20-minutes from The Chillhouse. Naturopaths and homoeopaths are good friends of The Chillhouse and are just down the road. The basic Hep A and B vaccinations are enough. There’s no malaria, hardly any dengue.
