Sri Noa Noa is a 50ft twin master schooner, of wooden construction. She’s a cruising boat and not really suited to frothers always wanting to be somewhere else. There’s all the modern navigational and safety equipment, a tender with 15hp outboard and beds to accommodate a max of six people, although the crew suggest five is better for long trips (five single beds and one double, spread over three cabins). All beds have fans, linen provided, Internet available on smart phones, and a good stereo. There’s a good digital camera on board too and Heri, the Captain, is an accomplished photographer (many of the pics provided are his work).

hardware: Bring whatever you normally surf on at home and then a board you’re comfortable on in bigger surf, say six-to-eight foot waves. For your third board you can either bring a bigger gun in case you need it, or a spare in case you break a board. There’s basic repair equipment on board, but good to BYO.
non-surf: Book/magazines, a bottle of duty-free spirits, favourite fishing lures.
medical: They’ve got a comprehensive first-aid kit on board and strongly encourage travel insurance in case of emergency, as well as the standard injections recommended by your GP for Indo.
