Quest 1 Surf Charter

If these guys can keep the Rip Curl international surf team happy – scoring new uncrowded waves and finding the fellas pits and peaks regardless of the conditions – the Quest 1 crew shouldn’t have any problems making sure you leave surfed out with a massive smile on your dial.

the basics

The boat is mostly based in Padang. From here they operate Mentawais charters, but can also reach the Telos group, or northern or southern Sumatra areas. Their plan for the future is to also operate charters in different areas of Indonesia like Bali and Nusa Tengara, or even further east. They usually carry eight guests in four double AC cabins with TV and DVD, two private shower bath rooms and toilets. There’s a satellite phone, daily swell report, saloon with big sofa hang out area (fully air-conditioned), a home cinema entertainment system, DVD library and outside dinner area. There’s a sun deck on top deck in back of the boat too.

expedition essentials

hardware: 6’0, 6’2 and a 6’4. Ding repair stuff is onboard.
non-surf:Passport and a desire to get shacked!
medical: We provide Med Evac insurance (incl.) from SOS international Group for eight guests. We can communicate via Internet and other satellite phone, and also radio to get help if needed. Tetanus vaccination is recommended and maybe Hepatitis.
