Micro's Surf Academy

Monday, 29 April 2013

Micro at Lakey Peak last week.

Any other guy would get clipped on the shoulder by this wave, oh the advantages of being Glenn 'Micro' Hall.

Glenn "Micro" Hall entered his rookie year on the World Tour at the age of 31. Without a major sponsor Micro has spent the last few years looking elsewhere for a dollar to support his family and after spending time on tour with close mates Adrian Buchan and Matt Wilkinson coaching them heat techniques through to mental preparation, Micro realised he had a passion for coaching. Thus, creating his own coaching academy, The Micro Surf Academy.

It's been a long road to the World Tour for Micro but he's there now and if that isn't enough inspiration for his younger cadets, what is?

Below are a couple of aforementioned cadets and a couple of words from Micro.

Mitch Raymond, 12 years-old:

Micro: "I've been coaching Mitch for a few years now and he shines when it's big. He has a good style and groms who charge are so sick!"

Caleb Tancred, 11 years-old:

Micro: "I've been coaching with Caleb for a couple of years now and he has so much potential, he fricken rips. He just got sponsored by Billabong and JS so I'm stoked for him"
