Excitement is building to arguably the most anticipated ASP World Tour in recent history when competition gets underway at this week’s season opening event on the Gold Coast.
Following one of the most dramatic title races last year, where Aussie Joel Parkinson broke through to claim his maiden crown, never before has so much interest surrounded the tour.
Surfing fans will once again be able to watch all the action unfold with FUEL TV delivering EXCLUSIVELY LIVE coverage of all 10 tour events.
FUEL TV will kick off its coverage on Saturday (March 2) when the Quiksilver Pro event window opens.
The Aussies will again be well represented at Snapper Rocks with dual world champion Mick Fanning, last year’s Quiksilver Pro winner Taj Burrow and young gun Owen Wright joining Parkinson on the Gold Coast.
Throw in the likes of 11-time world champion Kelly Slater, flashy Hawaiian John John Florence and a host of Brazilians and the scene is set for an incredible competition.
Adam Howarth, FUEL TV channel manager, said viewers will receive unparalleled surfing coverage in 2013.
“Last year FUEL TV made history by offering every ASP Word Tour event live. This year we will again deliver start to finish coverage of the title race plus offer more content including exciting new documentaries and introduce ground breaking broadcast innovations,” Mr Howarth concluded.
FUEL TV’s EXCLUSIVELY LIVE coverage begins on Saturday (March 2) each morning at 8.30am with the Quiksilver Pro Morning Update.
