This time of year it never stops in Bali. The waves have been absolutely firing, ladies aplenty and wild parties to boot! The nights seem to blend into each other and on a regular basis I'm left wondering what day it is.
Reef were running a six star ISC contest so the whole team were filtering in, plus two Mentawais trips were due back in around the same time. Thursday saw Jack Perry come in from Oz and Nick Rozsa came in from Italy where he’d been doing the European premiere of Reef’s new movie, Cancer To Capricorn. For two days we got pumping waves on the east coast with barely anyone out.

On Saturday Reef team manager Heath ‘Nutty’ Walker, Jay ‘Bottle’ Thompson, Ross Williams and Thiago Camaro all flew in. All Hell broke loose. And then it broke loose again when Koby Abberton, Paul Fisher, Dean Morrison and Dom Wills all got back into Bali after spending two weeks in the Ments. The boys were ready for war and it just so happened that I was DJing that night at Divine Wonderland.

A good night out was had by all, but it was time to get our surf heads on again. We thought we’d sneak out of Bali to find some waves on one of the islands not too far away. We scored a boat and loaded it with a crew of 20 people and took off to Lembongan for the day to hopefully lock in some tunnels at Lacerations. The wave ended up being really fun. We surfed Shipwrecks when we first got there as Lacerations is the most tidal wave ever and we had to wait for the tide to turn.

Toddy Rosewall got the best one for the day although Tai ‘Buddah’ Graham jagged the biggest one. It was pretty pumping, but the only thing it lacked was consistency. The swell was a little too south and it was a long wait in between sets, but when you got one it was so worth it

We then had a big weekend planned as the Reef crew have all kinds of shenanigans going down with Miss Reef, Cancer to Capricorn premieres and more. Get over here if you can. I’ll keep you posted on what goes down next week.
Thanks for stopping by, stay classy!
