From normal beginnings growing up South East of Melbourne Ted Grambeau found his way into the exotic world of surf photography and quickly became a master of the medium. Since moving to the Gold Coast many years ago Ted has been published in every surf magazine on the planet and travelled to more far-flung locations than he can probably even remember. Ted has been such an influential member of the ASL team since its creation 27 or so years ago, and we are fortunate to have his photos gracing our printed and online pages monthly.
Ted published a childrens book with author Tim Baker The Surfer And The Mermaid which will be re-enacted on stage at the upcoming Bleach* Surfing the Fringe festival on 11 to 14 February. And he will also be displaying his photographic artwork at Pop Up Bleach* exhibitions around the Southern Gold Coast.

Bleach* sat down with Ted for an insight into his perspective on surf photography.
While most of us were enjoying a well-earned break at the end of the year, over Christmas and New Years Ted was on the trail of the cyclone swell that battered the Gold Coast. Take a look at a gallery of his photos here.
