Last night Kelly Slater was rushed to Melbourne hospital after hurting his foot trying an air at Bells.
Latest update from Quiksilver Team Manager Stephen "Belly" Bell, with Kelly in Geelong, at 2pm today, is that Kelly has an injured ankle, with no broken bones but possible ligament damage, and will surf his heat nonetheless. "All OK," Belly said from their car en route to the event. Kelly's ankle is strapped, and his plan is to get out there, and see how it goes.
