Lizzard’s Darkstar boardshorts are a special 20th anniversary pair of boardies from the South African brand. Accordingly Lizzard have gone the extra mile on them, providing additional technical features while still offering an affordable price tag.
These mid-to-long shorts, with black on charcoal stripes and subtle branding, are a clean design that looks good in and out of the water. The mesh rear pocket, with SBS vislon zipper and a well-sewn bungee cord, provides good drainage while surfing, but is also well-placed and sized to hold a wallet while kicking back or doing the shopping.
Super strong with triple stitching and posted seams, these shorts also incorporate the Quad 4 Flex fabric, a lightweight, microfibre material. With all of these features for an outlay of just 65 clams, the Lizzard Darkstar are the business.
