One thing everyone enjoyed about these shorts was the cut and length. The Platinum X from Billabong are mid-length, meaning they sit just above the knee to stop the dreaded kneelock, but they’re not so short they look like were made circa 1959.
The sweetest thing about these shorts is that they’re made of 87% recycled polyester, sourced from used plastic bottles otherwise destined for landfill. But, if you’re thinking that being eco-conscious means the PX1 compromise on performance, you’re way off.
These shorts from Bong are super elastic, with their Infinity Stretch Fabric. They’re three times lighter than the average boardshort and dry faster too, with the H2 repel technology that forces water to bead off the fabric’s surface. Environmentally friendly, styling and ultra-tech. Tick, tick and tick.

This was voted best length by all testers.
